Opal wins Best of Winners over an American Champion & Canadian Best In Specialty Show winner from the 12-18 month class under Judge Dr.Gail Forythe.

Opal places Best of Winners again over an Am.Champion/Canadian Best In Specialty Show winner and places Best of Breed over a Best in Show Special bitch from the 12 to 18 month class under Judge Roberto Del Puerto!!!Thank you to Judge Roberto Del Puerto!!!

I wanted to wear the special scarf Erica gave me from Australia at PCA 2006 when Skyler and Santos showed in Maryland but I didn`t have a outfit to do it justice so I wrapped it around my PCA grooming bag at ringside for goodluck!!! Opal and I made the cut in Group and we were placed 5th in line behind the Group 4th placement.

I was happy enough to be where we were!! We were behind some very nice Group placing Specials plus one puppy. Judge Roberto Del Puerto said she was a very exquisite girl with beautiful reach and drive! :)

Opal takes Winners Female for 1 point over another female and then goes Best of Winners over a male American Champion and Canadian Best In Specialty Show winner for an extra point putting her on a required 2 point win towards her Canadian Championship under Judge Gayle Forythe.

Saturday November 22, 2008(morning show)
Opal goes Reserve Winners female today.

Group Six Specialty Show (afternoon show)
Opal took Winners Female for no points (the only female) and then went on to Best of Winners over the same CKC BISS winner & Am.Champion male (as the day before) for one point.

She then was pulled out into place for Best of Breed over a BIS (Best in Show) Special that is being campaigned here in Canada giving Opal an extra point. Opal is now on 4 points of her 10 required for her Canadian Championship.

I was very pleased and absolutely thrilled as standing in the Best of Breed spot I had chills over my body right up and over my head with my hand up to my face thinking "Oh my god!!!"
My thoughts were of Erica and Iwas really fighting back the emotions and was trying to hold myself together as we thought we were going back right away for the Group judging. This was a Group Six Specialty under Argentinian Judge Mr.Roberto Del Puerto.

We all had to wait an hour to go back in for the Group. While we were in the Group Ring Opal was a little skittish when someone brought their dogs in a buggy directly behind us as quiet as they were trying to be it thumps and it was just a new sound and venue for her but she quickly recovered and didn`t mind all the loud clapping and hooting as we went around the ring. She was an Australian Opal on fire!!! I just guided her along and she carried herself along in all glory. My little Opal Gem from Erica. I felt such thrill and was so proud of her!!! I know Erica would be pleased and proud!!!
